Take a look at the last couple projects we did with an awesome group of 6th graders at the Plains Intermediate at West this past year! They painted boards that will be used as additional beds in the new Athens Elementary school gardens, extracted DNA from strawberries (2nd pic), made field guides of tree and bird species, made pastoral poems, cleaned up the garden, planted garlic and winter rye, tested soil pH, ran plant growth experiments, learned about composting, and more! Huge thanks to Dr. Maxwell for warmly welcoming us into her classroom and for supporting us as we grow this new curriculum!
