You are invited to bring the whole family and join us as we celebrate Athens and light up the Uptown for the holiday season on Friday, December 2nd, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
The big man in red himself will be whisked into town to take pictures in his Workshop, located at the corner of Washington and Court Streets, and the festivities will continue all night, with horse-drawn carriage rides and special holiday activities hosted by members of the Athens Uptown Business Association (AUBA).
And this year, our annual tree lighting ceremony night is extra-special, as we will also be having a ceremony to officially celebrate Athens being named the Best Hometown in Ohio by Ohio Magazine!
