National Burn Awareness Week | Akron Fire Department
This week, we recognize National Burn Awareness Week. Akron Fire always has a priority to protect the all the lives within our community. Here are some safety tips to help prevent burns for you and those you are with. While we had some great weather this week, we should still pay attention and have safe home heating sources. Remember that space heaters need space, and we should heat our homes appropriately to prevent fires and burns.
In our continued support of burn survivors, we recognize Akron Children's Hospital Burn Unit and Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (ACBC) as we honor them for the continued work in prevention, education, treatment, support, and resources for burn victims.
