FOIA Request Sent to Noble County Regarding Access to Public Records on October 7, 2024

A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was sent to Noble County on October 7, 2024. The request was made by SE Ohio Times, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs.

The records requested under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq., include a list of FOIA logs sent to the county from January 1, 2024, till October 7, 2024. The specific fields requested in the logs are as follows: Requester Name, Requester Organization, Request Content, Request Date, Request Complete Date, and FOIA Status.

As a media organization, we at SE Ohio Times believe in holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Access to these public records is crucial for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. Given our role in disseminating information to the public, we have also requested a fee waiver as media professionals.

We will continue to update our readers with any developments regarding this request.
