The City currently has a position open for Relief Operator/Mechanic. Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, this position performs routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment. Performs duties of plant operator, custodial duties, and maintains buildings and fixtures. This is a bargaining unit position. The probation period for this position is 90 - 150 calendar days (based on job performance).
The position starts with a pay rate of $22.51 per hour. The normal schedule is 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. The regular reporting location will be at the Water Treatment Plant, 395 West State Street, Athens, OH 45701.
