Happy Monday! With sunnier days in the forecast, flowers are beginning to bloom throughout all of our community gardens. We're partnering with flower essence maker Katherine Ziff of Briarwood Studios Flower Essences to bring you a flower essence making workshop at our Eastside Community Garden! We will practice making our own flower essences onsite with flowers growing in the garden.
Wondering what flower essences are? Katherine has shared, "Flower essences are tinctures made from fresh blossoms placed in a clear glass bowl of water and set in the morning sun to infuse. Derived from the work of English physician Edward Bach, they are a close relative of homeopathic remedies. Flower essences are an integrative support to well-being compatible with psychotherapy, pharmaceutical medication, herbal medicine, massage therapy and other forms of treatment."
Spaces are limited for this workshop and we are asking for a $10 donation to attend. Please see the flyer below for details on registering and requesting scholarships if needed!
