Mayor Horrigan would like to thank the individuals and organizations who supported the conversion therapy ban here in Akron.
A special recognition goes to CANAPI for first bringing the issue to the Mayor's office and asking for measures to be taken. And to Executive Director Rebecca Callahan for her testimony during committee.
We'd also like to thank The Trevor Project and Casey Pick, Senior Fellow for Advocacy and Government Affairs who traveled from D.C. to provide her expert testimony to councilmembers.
Finally, thank you to Equality Ohio and Executive Director, Alana Jochum for her incredibly moving comments, as well as Sarah Hastings, Director of Development for her public comments during Council.
